Exciting Paths Ahead

This month of May has enabled the advancements at Mitongwe to continue in the hands of our operational team, which gives us joy as these capable and well-trained people continue to innovate and manage so well

Cultivating Wellness, One Plant at a Time

Our staff at the Health and Wellness Center are continuing their training, with the last few weeks being spent in the medicinal gardens. They are learning, from the ground up, the value of the products and the care needed to produce the healthful tinctures and teas. The two varieties of hibiscus are an ongoing harvest item to be dehydrated, citrus fruit has been harvested, cut, and juiced, with the seeds being added to the Seed Bank. The juice is frozen or used for immediate consumption.

Their training has included the making and turning of compost piles as well, the compost being key to the health of the soil and the nutritional value of the harvest.

The sunflowers have matured and will be used for their oil and nutritional value. They are a powerhouse of immune boosters that will enhance our ability to aid and support health.

Health and Wellness Education

Exciting news—our Health and Wellness Center now has brand-new furniture in the Education Room! This fresh table setup will make staff training, meetings, and community instruction sessions more comfortable and effective. Learning just got a stylish new space!

The U14 Soccer Adventure

Team Road trips are always a thrill. This month, our U14 Boys and Girls Soccer teams were able to travel to a neighbouring village for well-fought matches.

Singing, Praying, Growing

Throughout the month, our managers take time for Bible devotion, singing, and prayer. With over 100 voices joining in, this isn’t just a gathering—it’s an ongoing, uplifting experience that strengthens our team spirit and brings glory to God. A beautiful reminder that faith and fellowship are woven into our daily lives!

The Future is Bright

We’re in the final stretch of setting up the Solar System, with tests and assessments nearly complete! The new panels are in place, while the existing ones are being relocated to power the Staff Houses. And here’s the real game-changer—the Container Dehumidifier! This powerhouse will revolutionize the drying process for moisture-heavy items like fruit, finally giving our Dehydration Units a well-deserved break. Exciting times ahead!
