Our Agroforestry Internship, generously sponsored by the LBS Foundation in Switzerland, is shaping the next generation of young agricultural leaders. Each year, a group of dedicated young adults joins us on the farm for a full year of immersive learning. They study the theory of agroforestry, but even more importantly, they become part of the daily rhythm of the farm—working alongside our team, learning by doing, and experiencing firsthand what sustainable, natural farming looks like in practice. This hands‑on approach has a deep impact, building confidence and real skill. By the end of their year, interns are fully equipped to teach others, support communities, and even consult on establishing new agroforestry plots. It’s a transformative journey that prepares them to carry this knowledge far beyond Mitongwe.
