Education and Prevention

Our Vision

Our vision is to care for the whole person—physically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially—by delivering compassionate, community-based healthcare. We are committed to fostering well-being through community-driven solutions that reflect the unique needs of the people we serve. Recognizing the growing importance of education and prevention, we strive to empower individuals with the knowledge and resources needed to achieve lasting health.

To support this mission, we are proud to offer a new, purpose-built facility designed to enhance learning, engagement, and care. The space includes a fully equipped classroom with modern visual teaching tools, a spacious outdoor seating area for group education, and an outdoor kitchen dedicated to hands-on classes in cooking and nutrition. Our facility provides ample room to host school groups, baby weighing clinics, and programs for seniors—creating a welcoming environment for all ages to learn, connect, and thrive.

Why Health and Wellness?

Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world, which directly affects how much the country can spend on healthcare. The combination of HIV/AIDs, infectious disease, malnutrition, and limited access to health care puts all Malawians at extreme risk – but especially its youngest. Nearly 40% of children are stunted by malnutrition – a challenge felt across the country, but most intensely in rural areas where poverty is extreme and food supplies are more limited. Almost one-quarter of all preventable child deaths are related to undernutrition.

Days for Girls Program

We believe that every girl deserves a healthy, dignified, and empowered menstrual experience. That's why we partner with a local Social Enterprise Program in Malawi to buy washable, reusable and beautiful pads that can last up to three years. These pads not only provide menstrual hygiene products for girls but also create income opportunities for men and women in the community. We also organize a workshop for the girls, led by an ambassador from Days for Girls, to teach them about their menstrual health and rights. We want to break the silence and stigma around menstruation and create a more equal and inclusive world for all.

Our “new” Baby Feeding Program

🌍 Hope Begins Here in Mitongwe. In the heart of Malawi, a powerful new initiative is transforming crisis into opportunity. The Stand as One Ministry’s Baby Feeding Program is launching in Mitongwe to bring life-saving nutrition, spiritual encouragement, and lasting empowerment to the most vulnerable—infants, toddlers, and mothers in need. With every bowl of fortified porridge and every moment of prayer, families are being nourished in body and soul. This is more than a feeding program—it’s a movement of healing, dignity, and faith.
